New Members

Come and try!  If you already have a valid AS number, meaning you are currently a financial member of another club, then you are good to go.  If you are looking for a boat to sail with, then please contact our Membership Secretary (see below) to join the Crew Matching Service.

If you are not a financial member of another club and therefore don't have a current Australian Sailing Number, then you will need to get a SAILPASS for each time you race, up to a maximum of 3 times. It is a requirement for all crew racing at GFS to have a valid AS number.

SAIL PASS APPLICATION  (no cost)

After sailing with us 3 times, we encourage you to join the club as a 'Crew Member'.  This category is for crew, non-boat owning family members and youth under 18 years of age not participating in GFS Youth sail training programs.  Crew Members get continued access to the Crew Matching Service as well as  all communication and our various events, such as our 'SailSafe' and 'SailFast' training days and our Winter Talk series.  

NEW CREW MEMBER APPLICATION   26 - 27 Season: $160

If you own a boat and/or wish to have full access to the Club's facilities, then please apply for full membership. You must be a full member to enter any of the series of races the club holds. To apply to become a new full member please download and complete the following application form:

Scan your application form and email it to our Membership Secretary.

You do not have to include a payment with your application. Your application will be presented to the next meeting of the Club Committee for vetting and a decision on endorsement. Once a decision is made the Membership Secretary will advise you by email of the outcome as well as arrangements for you to pay your membership fees.
