Come Sail With Us

Whether you’re an experienced crew member, new to sailing, or a boat owner, you’re welcome at GFS. Information about the club and club events are updated regularly on this website.  Photos and stories from sailing and events are posted on our facebook page. 

Weekend races are held throughout the year, and Twilight Races are held on Wednesdays during daylight saving, followed by a BBQ on the deck. The Saturday fleet is small and provides a good introduction to racing and GFS. Older style boats which were previously raced will fit in well with the Saturday fleet and spinnakers can be used but are not compulsory. The twilight fleet is larger and very popular. All boats racing have an upper limit of 40 feet.

GFS is committed to increasing women’s participation in sailing. We have a supportive environment for women and we welcome inquiries. The Vice Commodore Leigh McLaughlin is the club’s contact for women’s participation. Feel free to get in touch with her from the contacts page.
